100th Day Project

Today the grade 2 students were given a 100th day of school project.  Please be sure to complete and return the 100th day project on Thursday, February 6th!  Finished projects will be displayed  for all to see!

Habitats

In Science, we have started a new unit on habitats.  We are learning how to read non-fiction text, how to define a habitat, and which animals live in each habitat.  The first habitat that we will be exploring in class is the rainforest. 

Non-fiction Animal Book Report

Yesterday, the second grade was assigned a non-fiction animal book report.  Attached in the packet are 3 Fast Fact cards, the rubric on how they will be graded, and a completed Fast Fact card for a student model.  If your child would like to complete more than 3 Fast Fact cards, please tell your child to ask me for more.  The reports are due on Wednesday, January  29th.
